Verification refers to the process of ensuring a design has addressed every requirement. Verification reviews ensure each requirement in the inputs is accounted for in the outputs. This is often recorded in the Statement of Compliance document. Validation refers to the process of actually building a product according to the requirements modified after verification. Validation is used to prove the design can meet the requirements it was intended to meet.
